DC has announced plans to adapt the comic book series “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow” into a movie. The movie will be led by James Gunn and Peter Safran and will offer a different perspective on Supergirl compared to past adaptations. The comic book series follows Supergirl as she is approached by an alien girl whose planet has been destroyed and who is seeking revenge. Supergirl, Krypto the dog, and the alien embark on a journey that will challenge them deeply. In the past, Supergirl was portrayed in live-action form by Melissa Benoist as part of The CW’s Arrowverse franchise. The movie doesn’t have an official release date yet, but other projects announced by DC include “The Batman 2,” an Amanda Waller TV series, and a “Superman: Legacy” movie.
