Booster Gold, a fan-favorite DC superhero, is getting his own comedy TV series as part of the new DC Universe film and television initiative. The series will be led by James Gunn and Peter Safran and will explore the theme of “imposter syndrome as a superhero.” Booster Gold is a former football player from the 25th century who travels back in time to establish himself as a superhero. He has appeared in numerous DC Comics animated series and has previously been portrayed on TV. The new DC Universe initiative also includes a Batman movie, a Superman: Legacy film, and several other projects.
