The Creature Commandos animated TV series will be written by James Gunn and will feature military superhumans including a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. The show will also include the character Weasel from Gunn’s Suicide Squad. The animation will lead into live-action and back into animation, allowing for “gigantic and huge” stories without a large budget. The Creature Commandos were introduced in 1980 and are created by J. M. DeMatteis and Pat Broderick.
