Behind-the-scenes photos of Heidi Klum’s 2026 Halloween costume may have revealed unannounced characters from The Batman Part II, which opens in theaters on February 18, 2028. Fans spotted labeled boxes and face casts in the background of a workshop photo, including items that appear tied to Two-Face, Victor Zsasz and the Court of Owls. Warner Bros. has not confirmed that any of the items belong to the film.

Klum wore a giant severed hand to her 25th annual Halloween party in New York on October 31. The costume was built by makeup artist Mike Marino and his company, Prosthetic Renaissance. Marino created Colin Farrell’s Penguin makeup for The Batman and HBO’s The Penguin, and he told W magazine in October that he is working on the sequel. “We’re doing some really cool makeup in this new movie,” Marino said.

What Fans Spotted in the Workshop

The Makeup Armoury, a UK prosthetics supplier that worked on the first film, shared photos from the costume build on Instagram. ComicBookMovie reports that one behind-the-scenes photo has since been deleted.

The most discussed item is a face cast resembling Brian Tyree Henry, scarred on one side and showing a disfigured lip. Batman News described the sculpt as having the classic Two-Face mouth from the comics and animated series, and fans also pointed to a denture cast they connected to Harvey Dent.

A box labeled “Zsasz” sits beside what appears to be a head cast of Sebastian Stan. Zsasz is a Gotham serial killer who carves a tally mark into his skin for each victim.

Another box reads “Owl 3,” and Cosmic Book News reports that an owl mask sits alongside it. Fans connected both to the Court of Owls, the secret society of wealthy Gotham families introduced in Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s 2011 Batman run. The Court has never appeared in a live-action film.

A case labeled “Koch” could point to makeup or a mask for Sebastian Koch, whose role is unknown. An older man’s head cast has drawn speculation that it was made for Charles Dance. ComicBookMovie also reports a scarred mold that appears to show Peter McDonald, who played Officer Kenzie in the first film.

The photo may not show only Batman material. Cosmic Book News reports that one cast appears to be Donald Trump, likely left over from Stan’s role in The Apprentice.

Rumors the Photos Appear to Support

Matt Reeves confirmed Stan, Henry, Dance, Koch and Scarlett Johansson as cast members in May, but he did not reveal their characters. Variety had reported that Stan was set to play Harvey Dent. In June, journalist Jeff Sneider reported that Stan would instead play Zsasz, with Henry as Dent and the Court of Owls in the story. Neither casting has been officially confirmed.

Stan’s role has stayed in dispute since then. A French interview in August appeared to confirm him as Dent, but the publication later corrected the quote. In September, set video from London showed a Bruce Wayne protest scene with “Court of Fowls” signs.

Dance has been reported as Charles Dent, Harvey’s father, since he was first attached to the film. ComicBook.com has floated a different theory, that he could lead the Court as its Grandmaster.

Gizmodo’s io9 has asked Warner Bros. for comment, and Yahoo has contacted Marino. Filming paused in October while Reeves dealt with a family matter, and Steven Soderbergh stepped in to complete the final weeks of photography in London.
