Everything Disney Announced at D23 2026

Disney packed two hours at the Honda Center in Anaheim on Friday night with trailers, casting reveals, release dates, and a stack of footage that only the people in the room got to see. Zootopia 2 stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan hosted the Disney Entertainment Showcase, with CEO Josh D’Amaro opening the night. Here is everything that came out of it.

Marvel Studios

Avengers: Doomsday. Kevin Feige brought out Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Hayley Atwell to debut the Special Look that previously played only in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. It centers entirely on Victor von Doom, confirming he hails from Earth-828, the same reality as the Fantastic Four, and showing him losing his family, dispatching Thor, and raising an army of Sentinels. December 18 in theaters, tickets on sale now. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds also turned up in a bit where Jackman begged for a role in the film.

X-Men. Feige closed Marvel’s segment with the cast. Sadie Sink leads as Jean Grey after her debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, joined by Kit Connor as Cyclops, Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Adam Driver appeared by video message as Nathaniel Milbury, better known as Mister Sinister, after joking he would be playing Magneto. Jake Schreier directs from a script by Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo. Feige said more casting is still to come and described the movie as Jean Grey’s story. It opens May 5, 2028.

VisionQuest. Paul Bettany and James Spader joined Feige to unveil the first trailer and poster for the Disney+ series closing out the WandaVision trilogy. Vision has been rebooted and is in hiding, consulting the AI personas in his own programming, which manifest as human versions of J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and Ultron. October 14 on Disney+.

Lucasfilm

Ahsoka season two. Dave Filoni brought out Rosario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, and Eman Esfandi for the first teaser. Anakin returns as a Force ghost, pushing Ahsoka on whether she is or is not a Jedi; Ariana Greenblatt is back as young Ahsoka, and Thrawn has declared war on the New Republic. Rory McCann takes over as Baylan Skoll. January 20, 2027, on Disney+.

Star Wars: Starfighter. Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling presented a roughly 60 second teaser to the room only, with just the poster released publicly. Gosling’s character is Kade Auberon, a pilot whose fate is tied to a decommissioned Imperial G-17, the fastest ship ever built. Levy said the film takes place in a period never before shown in Star Wars and opens the same weekend the original film did 50 years earlier. Mia Goth, Matt Smith, Aaron Pierre, Daniel Ings, Amy Adams, and newcomer Flynn Gray co-star. May 28, 2027.

Filoni also confirmed Lucasfilm is not currently making The Hunt for Ben Solo.

Pixar

Incredibles 3. Pete Docter said the sequel belongs to the kids, with Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack sneaking out to fight crime while Jack-Jack’s powers get harder to contain. The family faces a villain with more power than all of them combined. Concept art went out online, and Mr. Incredible is back in his original blue suit in some images. Summer 2028.

Coco 2. Benjamin Bratt confirmed his return as Ernesto de la Cruz, now out for revenge on Miguel. The sequel picks up a few years later with a teenage Miguel pulled back into the Land of the Dead. Art of the older Miguel was shown. 2029.

Ghost Market. Pixar’s first supernatural film, previously reported as Ono Ghost Market, got a spring 2028 window and a footage reveal.

Gatto. Two clips ran for the hand-painted 2027 feature. One shows Nero trying to use pigeons to distract a girl before the plan falls apart, the other is a trailer set to the Rolling Stones’ “Paint It Black” following Nero dodging humans and police while working for Roco.

Walt Disney Animation

Frozen 3. Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad performed live, with Bell and Menzel singing “Frozen Heart” and Gad debuting a song called “Samantha.” The clip shown teased Anna’s wedding and honeymoon, a possible love interest for Olaf, and a new villain wearing a cape made of ice shards. November 24, 2027.

Hexed. Hailee Steinfeld plays Billie Doe, a young girl who discovers supernatural powers, with Walton Goggins as Beef Roger Crummchuck and Jodie Foster as the villainous witch queen in her first Disney animated role. In theaters November 25. This trailer is from last month, but they spoke a bit more about Hexed at D23.

Zootopia 3. Confirmed in the works with Goodwin and Quan returning. The tease extended the second film’s post-credits scene, following the feather out across Zootopia to a talon landing on a newspaper, pointing toward birds joining the world.

Clay. A new original starring Kieran Culkin as Flip, chosen to mentor a small ball of clay named Mushi. Flip runs from the responsibility, Mushi follows him anyway, and Flip has to keep him alive. Concept art was shown. November 2028.

Live action and 20th Century

Tangled. Kathryn Hahn appeared as Mother Gothel with a taped message from Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim, who are filming in Spain as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. Michael Gracey directs, with Diego Luna as a new character named Hawthorne, Caitríona Balfe as Queen Arianna, Elliot Cowan as King Frederic, and Patrick and Hugo McPherson as the Stabbington twins. March 31, 2028.

The New Simpsons Movie. Dana Walden showed rough footage of an extended baseball chase, with Homer pursuing a foul ball through a stadium, a bar, a bowling alley, an operating room, and a factory before landing at Bart’s feet. September 3, 2027.

Lilo & Stitch 2. Stitch appeared to tease the sequel, and the video confirmed Angel, also known as Experiment 624, is joining him. 2028.

The Princess Diaries 3. Anne Hathaway opened the show with no title, date, or casting news, only confirmation that they are hard at work on it.

Television and Disney+

Percy Jackson and the Olympians season three. Walker Scobell introduced the teaser alongside Ming-Na Wen as Hera and Andra Day as Athena, with an army of Artemis’s hunters storming the stage. Dafne Keen plays Artemis and Holt McCallany is the Titan Atlas, and the footage includes Atlas holding up the world, Percy meeting Kate McKinnon’s Aphrodite, and Annabeth being dragged off a building. Scobell called it the darkest season yet. November 20.

Oswald. Jon Favreau announced a three-part Disney+ miniseries built around Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, blending hand-drawn 2D animation with live action and made in part by veteran Disney animators. The clip showed Oswald causing havoc in Walt’s office. February 2027.

Kingdom Hearts. A series adaptation is headed to Disney Channel and Disney+, with no further details given. Coco content was also confirmed for Kingdom Hearts IV.

The Bluey Movie. The teaser played to a Keepy Uppy game with red balloons in the arena, and it went online afterward. The film moves the Heelers into CG animation, with creator Joe Brumm writing and directing. August 6, 2027 worldwide.

Marvel’s Wolverine also got a new look on the gaming side, and Favreau teased a National Geographic project called Lion.

One note for anyone hunting down footage: several of the biggest moments never left the building. Starfighter, Frozen 3, Hexed, Gatto, and the Simpsons sequel were all in-room only. The publicly released trailers from Friday are Avengers: Doomsday, VisionQuest, Ahsoka season two, Percy Jackson season three, and The Bluey Movie.
