Scheduled for a theatrical release on November 27, 2024, the film follows Moana on a perilous journey across Oceania after an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors. Johnson and Auli’i Cravalho reprise their roles, continuing the legacy of the 2016 hit that grossed over $687 million globally and received Oscar nominations. Johnson, who showcased footage at Cinemacon and received the NATO Spirit of the Industry Award, emphasized the enduring importance of the theater business.
