Disney+ has unveiled the first trailer for its much-anticipated series reboot of “Doctor Who,” starring “Sex Education” actor Ncuti Gatwa as the iconic Doctor and Millie Gibson as his companion Ruby Sunday. Set to premiere on May 10 on Disney+ globally (except the U.K.) and on May 11 on the BBC iPlayer in the U.K., the series promises a thrilling mix of adventures through time and space, including encounters with dinosaurs, Victorian ballroom dancing, and battles against alien forces. Alongside Gatwa and Gibson, the series boasts a stellar supporting cast including Aneurin Barnard, Jonathan Groff, and Indira Varma, among others. Russell T. Davies returns as showrunner, bringing his signature blend of monsters, mysteries, and dramatic stakes, teased by a trailer that promises epic battles and Ruby’s resolve to save the world. The reboot is a collaborative production between Bad Wolf and BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television and the BBC, indicating high expectations for this latest iteration of the beloved sci-fi saga.
