Epic Games is adapting its Unreal Editor for Fortnite, which will release alongside a revamp called Fortnite Creative 2.0. The adaptation will allow players to do more, including making new modes and maps, importing models, animations, and textures from other games, and creating deep modding capabilities. This move has the potential to create a perfect storm of juggernaut games that refuse to die because players keep creating new content perpetually, as seen in games like Skyrim, GTA V, and Minecraft.
