Larian Studios has announced that Baldur’s Gate 3 will be released on August 31, 2023, on both PC and PlayStation 5. The announcement was made during Sony State of Play 2023, along with a new trailer that featured character classes, split-screen multiplayer, and battles. The trailer also confirmed that J.K. Simmons will be playing antagonist General Ketheric Thorm in the game. Split-screen co-op and controller support were also confirmed, along with the Baldur’s Gate 3 Deluxe Edition and Collector’s Edition. The game is a follow-up to BioWare’s classic RPGs and is being developed by Larian Studios, known for the Divinity: Original Sin series.
