This year’s biggest winner was Solo Leveling, taking home Anime of the Year, Best New Series, Best Action, Best Main Character (for Sung Jinwoo), and Best Score. The adaptation of the popular Korean web novel has been a standout hit, thanks to its slick animation and tightly paced storytelling. Its dominance at this year’s awards highlights how global the anime audience has become, with Korean source material now thriving alongside Japanese originals.
Another standout was Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Hashira Training Arc, which earned Best Continuing Series, Best Animation, and reinforced Ufotable’s reputation for producing some of the best visuals in the medium. Demon Slayer continues to be a juggernaut, and its consistent quality clearly resonated with both fans and voters again this year.

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End also made an impressive showing, winning Best Background Art and Best Drama. The show’s quiet, emotional storytelling and gorgeous visuals have been a critical favorite, and these wins feel well-deserved.
In the film category, Film of the Year went to Look Back, an emotional piece based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s one-shot manga. Its win highlights the growing respect for more introspective, standalone anime films amidst the blockbuster action entries.
Other notable wins include:
- Best Original Anime: NINJA KAMUI, a series that impressed with its dynamic action and distinct style.
- Best Romance: Blue Box, showing continued love for grounded, heartfelt stories.
- Best Comedy: MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES, which brought the laughs this season.
- Best Isekai Anime: Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 3, a fan-favorite franchise that continues to evolve.

Character-focused categories also brought fan-favorite moments:

Music played a strong role this year, with Otonoke winning both Best Anime Song and Best Opening Sequence, while request earned Best Ending Sequence.
Finally, the international nature of anime today was reflected in the Best Voice Artist Performance awards across multiple languages, including Aoi Yuki for Japanese, Aleks Le for English, and a diverse group of talented performers representing Arabic, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and Hindi dubs.
