Sony’s latest PlayStation State of Play (aired February 12, 2026) ran a little over an hour and covered a mix of new reveals, fresh trailers, demos, release dates, and a sizable PlayStation Plus update. Here’s the full rundown, in show order.

007 First Light

IO Interactive shared a new story trailer focused on their original James Bond origin angle, including a mission in Iceland that gets him noticed by MI6 and pulled toward a revived 00 program. The trailer also introduced Bond’s training instructor, former 00 agent John Greenway, and positioned 009 as a rogue operative in the crosshairs.

4: Loop

Bad Robot Games broke down how its four-player co-op shooter is structured, with a deeper look at core mechanics and how runs are expected to play out. Beta opportunities were teased.

Beast of Reincarnation

This one-person, one-dog action RPG hits PS5 on August 4. It’s set in a far-future Japan, following Emma and her companion Koo, with combat built around switching between Emma’s real-time swordplay and issuing commands to Koo in a more tactical, menu-like style.

Brigandine Abyss

A new entry in the fantasy strategy RPG series is coming later this year, keeping the hex-grid warfare feel while introducing new systems for a modern audience.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse

Konami is bringing Castlevania back with a new 2D action-exploration title on PS5 later this year, co-developed with Evil Empire and Motion Twin. Expect classic tools plus new weapons and abilities, with a new art style.

Control Resonant

Remedy Entertainment showed more of its reality-warped Manhattan setting, highlighting gravity anomalies and a shapeshifting weapon concept that looks central to both combat and traversal.

Crimson Moon

ProbablyMonsters revealed a gothic action-adventure RPG with optional co-op, where difficulty and encounters scale to match your playstyle. It’s slated for later this year on PS5.

Darwin’s Paradox

Release date: April 2. The bigger surprise is the demo dropping February 13 on PS5, with the demo content explicitly inspired by Metal Gear Solid vibes.

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round

This definitive version launches June 25 on PS5, including a standard edition and a free-to-play option (with a smaller roster). Team Ninja also teased that an entirely new entry is in development.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach

The PC release is set for March 19, and the same day brings a PS5 update that adds features and modes tied to the PC launch. More details on the update were promised later.

God of War

Two major beats here from Santa Monica Studio:

  • A remake of the original Greek trilogy was confirmed as being in early development.
  • God of War: Sons of Sparta, a new 2D action-platformer made with Mega Cat Studios, is out now on PS5.

Ghost of Yōtei Legends

Sucker Punch Productions announced Ghost of Yōtei Legends, a cooperative multiplayer update arriving March 10 as part of the game’s 1.5 update. It includes multiple mission types, distinct classes, cosmetics, and a Raid planned for later.

John Wick

Saber Interactive is making a new game set in the John Wick universe, built around “gun-fu” combat and cinematic set pieces. It’s confirmed for PS5, but there’s no official title or release date yet.

Kena: Scars of Kosmora

Ember Lab is back with a new Kena adventure featuring an older, more established Kena, new elemental mechanics, and an expanded role for spirit companions. It’s coming to PS5 and PC in 2026.

Legacy of Kain: Defiance Remastered

This remaster lands March 3 on PS5 and PS4, with upgrades to visuals and controls plus archival extras. The Deluxe Edition includes a playable slice of the cancelled sequel, Dark Prophecy.

Marathon

Bungie confirmed launch is March 5, and a “Server Slam” test starts February 26 on PS5, with in-game rewards tied to participation.

MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls

Release date: August 6 on PS5 and PC. Pre-orders open February 19. The trailer added Magik, Wolverine, and Danger to the roster, and the game’s “Episode Mode” was also confirmed.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2

Release date: August 27 on PS5. The collection includes Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel as a bonus title, plus extra fan-focused content.

Mina the Hollower

Yacht Games showed new gameplay and confirmed a limited-time demo for PS5 starting February 13. The full game launches this spring and is being positioned as the studio’s biggest project yet.

Neva: Prologue

A prequel DLC set before Neva, focused on how Alba and the wolf cub first met. Release date: February 19.

Pragmata

Capcom brought a closer look at Hugh and his android partner Diana, leaning into the game’s hack-and-fight identity. Release date on PS5 is April 24, and Capcom also has a demo available now.

Project Windless

A dark fantasy open-world action RPG for PS5 inspired by the Korean novel series The Bird That Drinks Tears. You play as one of the Rekons, a nomadic humanoid-bird warrior race, in a timeline set thousands of years before the source material.

Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition

This “definitive” anniversary package launches digitally on PS5 on February 13, featuring multiple versions of the original game, additional levels, a reimagined soundtrack, and an interactive documentary-style component.

Resident Evil Requiem

Resident Evil is back February 27, and State of Play delivered the launch trailer with new story teases and action-heavy beats.

Rev.Noir

Konami unveiled a new JRPG set in a world threatened by “lightfall,” a phenomenon that kills on contact. The story follows a boy with no memories and a mysterious girl, traveling to stop the catastrophe.

Saros

Housemarque detailed more of its sci-fi shooter systems, including armor upgrades, modifiers, fast travel, and eclipse events that escalate threats and remix the world. Release date: April 30 on PS5.

Silent Hill: Townfall

A fresh look at the new Silent Hill entry, featuring a first-person perspective and a portable CRT-style device that plays into both survival and storytelling.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer

A runs-based, high-stakes racer set around an unsanctioned Outer Rim circuit. The trailer highlighted different planets, vehicles, and characters, and it’s coming to PS5 later this year.

Yakoh Shinobi Ops

A four-player online, isometric co-op shinobi action game planned for PS5 next year, built around infiltration runs and an ever-present pursuer that can end a mission fast if your team gets sloppy.

That’s a wrap on February’s State of Play, and it honestly felt like Sony and its partners were trying to cover every lane at once: big legacy names getting revived, horror getting a real spotlight, and a lot of “here’s the date, here’s the demo, go play it” momentum. If even a handful of these land the way their trailers suggest, 2026 is shaping up to be stacked for PS5.

Now it’s just a matter of follow-through. The next few months are going to tell the real story as those March and April releases start hitting, and we get a clearer picture of what’s actually ready versus what’s still in the long game.
