Hulu is keeping the Hill family on your screen. The streamer has renewed King of the Hill for two more seasons, bringing the revival to Seasons 16 and 17 with a 20 episode order in total. Each season is set for 10 episodes, continuing the show’s current cadence after Season 14’s return this summer and ahead of Season 15, which is slated for 2026.
The renewal follows a strong comeback. Season 14 premiered on Monday, August 4 and landed at No. 2 on Nielsen’s Overall Top 10 streaming chart for its first week. Disney and multiple trade outlets also highlighted that the franchise has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+, a milestone that underscores how much the revival resonated with long time fans and new viewers alike.
This run was never guaranteed. The creative team had to navigate a sizable time skip, update Arlen to reflect the United States of today, and account for changes in the original voice cast. Season 14 reintroduced Hank and Peggy after a long stint in Saudi Arabia, aged up Bobby in a way that felt earned, and found fresh stories without losing the show’s everyday heart. That mix drew strong notices from critics, including a 10 out of 10 from IGN, and set the table for more episodes.
What does this mean for viewers? More time in the alley and more room for the revival’s character work. With Season 15 arriving in 2026 and two additional seasons now ordered, the team led by creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels has space to keep exploring how the Hills and their neighbors adapt to changing norms while staying unmistakably themselves. If Season 14’s reception is any guide, that is good news for Arlen.
