Marvel used New York Comic Con to set the table for its next wave of Disney Plus series. Head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation Brad Winderbaum confirmed timelines, brought surprise guests, and showed fresh footage across multiple shows. Only one trailer went online after the panel, but the room got a clear look at where the MCU’s streaming side is headed.

X-Men ’97 Returns In Summer 2026

Winderbaum confirmed the hit animated revival is back next summer on Disney Plus. No new clip was released publicly, but the update locks the show into Marvel’s busy 2026 calendar.

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Season 2 Targets Fall 2026

The panel opened with a first look at Season 2 of the animated prequel series. Fans spotted an animated cameo from Charlie Cox as Daredevil and a sentient black goo that all but signals a Venom storyline. Disney Plus timing is set for fall 2026.

Wonder Man Trailer Debuts Online Ahead of January Premiere

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley introduced the new trailer, which Marvel released online for everyone to watch. The series follows Simon Williams, a struggling actor chasing the lead in a reboot of the in-universe Wonder Man movie. The eight-episode show is executive produced by Destin Daniel Cretton and premieres January 27, 2026 on Disney Plus.

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Shows First Footage

Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter took the stage to present the first trailer for Season 2. The footage begins with Matt Murdock and Karen Page living a quiet life before an explosive incident overwhelms Matt’s senses. Missing person posters for Matt start appearing around New York until Jessica Jones tracks him down. Wilson Fisk is now the Mayor of New York City and is seen brutalizing a man in a boxing ring. Quick shots show Foggy Nelson, who died in Season 1, along with Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye and Vanessa Fisk. The trailer closes on Daredevil in action, grinning as he brings a taser to a street fight.

VisionQuest Caps The WandaVision Trilogy In 2026

Early footage from VisionQuest positions the series as the conclusion to a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued with Agatha All Along. White Vision is learning to live with Red Vision’s memories but without the emotions that once defined him. In human guise, he enters a mansion staffed by familiar AI systems in human form, including Jarvis (James D’Arcy), Friday, and Edith. The biggest swings land at the end of the reel. Ultron returns in human form, played again by James Spader. Then comes the reveal of Tommy Maximoff, known in the comics as Speed, portrayed by Ruaridh Mollica. VisionQuest is set for a 2026 launch on Disney Plus.

The Takeaway

Marvel’s NYCC slate points to a character-driven lineup that still makes room for big swings. Daredevil: Born Again leans into the street-level grit fans expect, Wonder Man brings a showbiz angle the MCU has not explored in depth, and VisionQuest pushes the franchise’s AI and identity themes into new territory. With X-Men ’97 and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man anchoring the animated side, 2026 is shaping up to be a busy year on Disney Plus.
