Marvel dropped the first Wonder Man trailer at New York Comic Con, giving a clear look at its Hollywood setting and the tone of the series. The footage follows Yahya Abdul Mateen II as Simon Williams, an actor chasing a breakthrough while grappling with what it means to wear a hero’s name. Ben Kingsley’s Trevor Slattery is back and the trailer positions him as a chaotic mentor who shares a love of performance with Simon.

The spot leans into a meta angle. We see a film within the show, red carpet flashes, and Simon reading for a role that blurs his on screen and off screen life. The trailer suggests the series will mix satire with character work while still teasing classic superhero beats.

Marvel confirmed a January 27, 2026 premiere on Disney Plus. That timing moves the show out of the holiday crush and lines it up for early year attention. For anyone new to the character, Wonder Man has deep Avengers ties and a long history with Vision, which the show nods to while carving out its own voice.
