July’s TV schedule is stacked with long awaited returns, major finales, and a healthy mix of sci fi, comedy, and pure chaos. Whether you’re a longtime fan or looking to jump into something new, here are the biggest shows landing this month.

July 3 – The Sandman (Netflix)

Netflix’s The Sandman returns with the first half of its final season. Volume 1 (six episodes) premieres July 3, followed by Volume 2 (five episodes) on July 24. A special bonus episode titled “Death: The High Cost of Living” arrives July 31.

Based on Neil Gaiman’s legendary comics, this final stretch covers iconic arcs like “Season of Mists” and “Brief Lives.” The cast includes Tom Sturridge as Dream and Kirby Howell Baptiste as Death, with new characters like Jack Gleeson as Puck and Barry Sloane as Destruction. Showrunner Allan Heinberg says this season brings Dream’s story to a full close with no cliffhangers.

July 9 – It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FXX)

The gang is back for more unfiltered chaos. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns July 9 on FXX, continuing its run as the longest running live action sitcom in American TV history. No growth, just the kind of wild comedy fans expect.

July 11 – Foundation (Apple TV Plus)

Season 3 of Foundation arrives July 11 and continues Apple TV Plus’s ambitious adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s sci fi epic. The new season digs deeper into the galaxy’s fragile power structures as war, religion, and prophecy collide.

July 17 – Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Paramount Plus)

Strange New Worlds returns for season 3 on July 17 with more classic style Star Trek storytelling. Captain Pike and the Enterprise crew head out on more episodic missions that mix character driven arcs with high stakes exploration.

July 23 – South Park (Comedy Central)

South Park is back on July 23 with a new season on Comedy Central. You can count on more fast paced, no holds barred satire aimed at pop culture, politics, and anything else that gets in the show’s crosshairs.

July 31 – Twisted Metal (Peacock)

Twisted Metal revs up again on July 31. Anthony Mackie returns as John Doe, joined by returning faces like Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa as Sweet Tooth. This season introduces new characters like Dollface, Mr. Grimm, and Raven.

Based on the classic video game series, Twisted Metal blends post apocalyptic mayhem with dark comedy. The first season found a surprise audience, and season 2 looks to push things even further over the edge.

July is packed with bold storytelling and familiar favorites. From the emotional fantasy of The Sandman to the unfiltered humor of South Park, and the action packed madness of Twisted Metal, there’s something to look forward to every single week.
