The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues expanding with Vision Quest, the upcoming Disney Plus series starring Paul Bettany’s Vision. Acclaimed actress T’Nia Miller is reportedly joining the project in a major role. Known for standout performances in The Haunting of Bly Manor, The Fall of the House of Usher, and Foundation, Miller will play Jocasta, a complex character with deep comic book roots.

According to Deadline, Jocasta in this new series is described as “cunning and powerful” and “driven by revenge.” In the comics, she was originally created by Ultron to be his robotic bride using a copy of the Wasp’s brain patterns. Jocasta later rejected Ultron and joined the Avengers, establishing herself as a sentient being with agency and moral clarity.

It remains to be seen how closely the Disney Plus series will stick to this origin, but Miller’s casting suggests a fresh interpretation. Her past roles show a talent for portraying characters that are emotionally layered and morally complex. Jocasta’s journey could parallel Vision’s own struggle with memory, purpose, and identity.
Vision Quest is being developed by Star Trek Picard showrunner Terry Matalas, joined by several veteran writers from the Star Trek franchise. The series is expected to focus on White Vision as he searches for his lost humanity. Filming has already begun at Pinewood Studios in London with additional scenes shot in Scotland.

Also expected to return is James Spader as Ultron, along with the surprise inclusion of Raza from the original Iron Man. The connections to past MCU villains hint that the show will explore the legacy of artificial intelligence in the Marvel universe.
Set for release in 2026, Vision Quest may arrive before Avengers Doomsday and after Spider-Man Brand New Day. With a powerful lead and a strong creative team, the series is shaping up to be one of Marvel’s most thoughtful sci-fi explorations yet.
