Netflix has officially confirmed that Devil May Cry will return for a second season, giving fans of the demon-hunting saga more to look forward to after the first season’s explosive finale. The announcement came via the streaming giant’s social media platforms, accompanied by a teaser image and the words, “Let’s dance. Devil May Cry is officially coming back for Season 2.”

Although Netflix has yet to reveal specific details about the upcoming season, the renewal signals confidence in the anime’s future. Viewers can catch up on all eight episodes of the first season, which is currently streaming worldwide. The inaugural season, developed by Adi Shankar and animated by Studio Mir, delivered a visually intense and unapologetically wild adaptation of Capcom’s beloved video game franchise.

Critics and audiences alike acknowledged both the anime’s rough edges and its ambitious flair. While some noted the uneven CG animation and hit-or-miss humor, others praised its stylistic choices and bold embrace of over-the-top action sequences. The season finale, in particular, left a strong impression, raising anticipation for where the story could go next.

Shankar, known for his work on Castlevania, had previously hinted at his ambitions for the series, revealing plans for a “multi-season arc” even before the first season aired. His creative vision seems poised to expand the Devil May Cry universe further, promising deeper lore and even more chaotic showdowns in future episodes.

For now, fans will have to wait for official updates on release dates or plot developments. However, the confirmation of Season 2 offers plenty of reason to celebrate — and to revisit the demon-slaying adventures of Dante and his allies.
