In a move that bridges iconic gaming legacies, Bethesda has announced that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will launch on PlayStation 5 on April 15 for early access players, with a global release following on April 17. Previously available only on Xbox Series X|S and PC since January, this marks the first time the whip-cracking archaeologist appears on Sony’s current-gen platform—bringing a fan-favorite franchise full circle.

To accompany the release date reveal, Bethesda dropped a clever promo trailer that feels more like a crossover event than a standard announcement. The trailer features Troy Baker, the voice behind Indiana Jones in The Great Circle, sitting across from Nolan North, best known for voicing Nathan Drake in Sony’s Uncharted series. While no specific names are dropped for legal reasons, the nods are unmistakable—and intentional.

North’s character, clad in familiar adventurer attire and speaking with trademark wit, playfully hints at breaking into the set and expecting goons to arrive at any moment. It’s a subtle but unmistakable homage to Uncharted’s action sequences, complete with half-tucked shirts and sidearm preferences. The duo banter about artefacts, private military enemies, and their differing views on historical preservation—Baker’s Indiana wants to donate, while North’s “unnamed explorer” prefers the highest bidder.

“Welcome to the club,” North says with a smirk, signaling a torch-passing moment between two of gaming’s most recognizable adventurers. It’s more than just clever marketing—it’s a symbolic gesture uniting rival console icons under one roof, if only for a moment. Bethesda, now under Microsoft’s umbrella, bringing The Great Circle to PlayStation—and doing so with the blessing of a PlayStation legend—shows a maturing industry more interested in shared celebration than console tribalism.

The release timing also hints at growing synergy across platforms. While still timed months apart, the eventual migration of previously exclusive titles signals a broader trend of accessibility and interconnected fandoms. For players who grew up with Drake’s wisecracks or Indy’s timeless heroism, The Great Circle on PS5 is both a nostalgic callback and a welcome continuation.

With early access available via pre-order, fans won’t have to wait long to join the hunt—on the console of their choosing.
