With less than a month to go before its return, Andor has dropped a new trailer for its highly anticipated second and final season. The footage paints a grimmer, more urgent picture of the brewing rebellion, honing in on themes of personal sacrifice, rising tension, and the relentless machinery of the Empire closing in.

Unlike the first trailer’s rebellious rhythm, this latest preview leans heavily into the tone fans have come to expect from Andor—gritty, grounded, and quietly devastating. Pulsing with the sound of the Empire’s iconic klaxon, the trailer showcases crumbling loyalties and mounting desperation on both sides of the conflict.

We catch glimpses of Rogue One-era echoes: Saw Gerrera’s insurgents mobilizing in earnest, Orson Krennic’s shadow stretching longer as the Death Star nears operational status, and the seeds of the Ghorman Massacre—an event long whispered in Star Wars lore—coming into tragic focus. Mon Mothma’s return to Chandrila hints at more political intrigue, while the visual language of the trailer doubles down on the Rebellion’s fractured beginnings.

But it’s the portrayal of the Empire’s slow burn response that truly elevates this final tease. Stark shots of Star Destroyers looming overhead, Stormtroopers on high alert, and the tense expressions of Dedra Meero and Syril Karn suggest that Andor Season 2 won’t just be about rebels rising—but about the system fighting back with everything it has. The psychological toll on both sides appears to be at the heart of this closing act.

Created by Tony Gilroy, Andor has been lauded for its mature storytelling and slow-burn suspense, standing apart from its franchise counterparts with a more grounded take on galactic politics and rebellion. With Season 2 promising the build-up to the events of Rogue One, this season is shaping up to be a pivotal chapter in the broader Star Wars mythos.

Andor Season 2 premieres April 22 on Disney+, rolling out in three-episode batches over four weeks.
