Marvel fans have something to look forward to as Hayley Atwell is expected to return as Peggy Carter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. According to sources, Atwell will join Chris Evans, who is likely reprising his role as Steve Rogers. The film, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo with Kevin Feige producing, is scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
While Marvel has not commented, reports suggest that plans for Evans’ and Atwell’s return have been in the works since 2021. Initially, a standalone movie was considered, but the upcoming Avengers installment was deemed the perfect fit to reunite the characters. Plot details remain under wraps.
Atwell is also set to appear in Mission: Impossible – Final Reckoning, releasing in May.
