Blizzard Entertainment marked Warcraft’s 30th anniversary with a Direct presentation, revealing numerous updates for fans across the franchise. From new content in World of Warcraft (WoW) to remasters of early games, the nearly hour-long event offered fans a look at the franchise’s past, present, and future.

Blizzard unveiled the first major patch for WoW: The War Within titled “Undermine(d),” set for early next year. This update introduces players to the goblin capital of Undermine, featuring a new customizable vehicle, storyline, arena map, dungeon, raid, and more.

Toward the end, Blizzard teased WoW’s next expansion, Midnight, set to introduce player housing. More details on Midnight are anticipated next summer.

In World of Warcraft Classic, Mists of Pandaria will launch in 2025. For players nostalgic for the original “vanilla” experience, Blizzard will introduce fresh PvE, PvP, and Hardcore Classic realms on Nov. 21, with updates planned in a staggered format.

Blizzard also surprised fans by releasing remasters of Warcraft I and Warcraft II. The remasters feature enhanced graphics, multiplayer in Warcraft II, and a Battle Chest bundle with flexible pricing.

Hearthstone will kick off 2025 with a StarCraft-themed mini-set, and expansions will focus on the Emerald Dream and Un’Goro Crater.

Finally, Warcraft Rumble, Blizzard’s mobile game, is set for a PC beta release on Dec. 10.

Blizzard’s Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct celebrated three decades of innovation and fan dedication, offering new adventures, nostalgic returns, and community-driven features across the Warcraft universe. With expansions, remasters, and crossovers on the horizon, Blizzard’s updates promise to honor the franchise’s legacy while paving the way for a vibrant future.
