D23 Brazil just dropped new concept art for Avatar: Fire & Ash, giving fans their first glimpse of the mysterious Fire and Air tribes who will bring explosive new layers to the Avatar universe when the film hits theaters Dec. 19, 2025. This sneak peek, created by artists Dylan Cole, Zachary Berger, and Steve Messing, teases a world of bold landscapes, intricate Na’vi culture, and characters filled with passion—and perhaps even rage.

Discover the world of the Ash People
According to @cinepop (via @DiscussingFilm), these new Na’vi, dubbed the Ash People, embody a darker side of Pandora. Described as a “reflection of the worst side of Na’vi,” this faction gives voice to anger and rage, emotions that director James Cameron noted resonate with our own world. As Cameron explained, this is a story about venturing into “challenging territories” on an “insane adventure” where the stakes are higher than ever.
Concept Art Highlights
The concept art revealed by Disney showcases a stunning array of visual elements, including:
- Flying vehicles that soar over Pandora’s stunning biomes
- A breathtaking nightscape of the ocean, illuminating the Ash People’s village
- A character with bound hands, suggesting new depths of conflict and struggle
- Detailed Na’vi settlements, likely belonging to the new Fire and Ash tribes
What else to expect in Fire & Ash
While Cameron hasn’t released footage yet, he hints that Avatar: Fire & Ash will explore the most intense conflicts on Pandora, bringing high emotional stakes with new characters and biomes. Fans can expect new landscapes, unique cultures, and at least one character “you’ll love to hate.”
