Ryan Reynolds has stirred up some serious buzz among Marvel fans by tweeting a high-quality clip from “Deadpool & Wolverine.” This short scene has Gambit fans speculating about the X-Man’s future in the MCU.
In the clip, we see Channing Tatum’s Gambit after the film’s final battle. The big reveal? A universe-hopping portal, humorously called a “Marvel Sparkle Circle” by Deadpool, reflected in Gambit’s eyes. Fans are now wondering if this means Gambit survived and could show up in future MCU projects.
Reynolds mentioned that a version of this scene is actually in the movie, but it’s tough to spot. The clip appears on a monitor in the background of the TVA, but the portal reflection in Gambit’s eyes is barely visible. This has fans rewatching the movie to see what they might have missed.
Channing Tatum has wanted to bring Gambit to the big screen for years, and his cameo in “Deadpool & Wolverine” has reignited those hopes. At the recent premiere of “Blink Twice,” Tatum expressed his excitement, saying, “I sure hope so. Write it into existence, my friend. Please.” He’s been pushing for a standalone Gambit film since the project was shelved after Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
Despite the setbacks, Tatum isn’t giving up. He’s made it clear to Marvel Studios that he’s still on board, but the decision now lies with Bob Iger and Kevin Feige. “I’ve been saying I want it for the last 10 years,” Tatum said, showing his ongoing commitment to the role.
Tatum also thanked Ryan Reynolds for making his Gambit cameo possible, sharing his appreciation in an Instagram post. He credited Reynolds with fighting to keep the character alive and praised “Deadpool & Wolverine” director Shawn Levy for his work on the film.
With Tatum’s dedication and Reynolds’ support, a Gambit movie might still be in the cards. Marvel Studios hasn’t announced anything yet, but fans are hopeful that Tatum’s Gambit could get his own spotlight.
