Netflix has thrilled fans by announcing nine new cast members for the eagerly awaited second season of “The Sandman.” Among these new additions are renowned comedian Steve Coogan and a trio of actors who will be familiar to “Game of Thrones” enthusiasts.

Headlining the New Cast

The standout name in this announcement is Jack Gleeson, who will be taking on the role of Puck, described as “a malevolent hobgoblin who serves as the royal jester to King Auberon of Faerie.” Gleeson, best known for his iconic portrayal of Joffrey Baratheon in “Game of Thrones,” took a break from acting after his memorable stint on the HBO series. Recently, he has appeared in small roles, including in Netflix’s “Sex Education” and BBC’s “The Famous Five.”

In addition to Gleeson, other “Game of Thrones” alumni joining “The Sandman” include Clive Russell, who played Brynden Tully and will now portray Odin, and Laurence O’Fuarain, cast as Thor. O’Fuarain, known for his role in “The Witcher: Blood Origin,” adds to the excitement surrounding the new season.
