Tom Hardy is set to don the symbiote suit one last time in “Venom: The Last Dance,” the final installment of the trilogy where he stars as Eddie Brock, a journalist who bonds with an alien symbiote to become Venom. The first trailer for the movie has just dropped, and fans are buzzing with excitement.
Hardy’s journey with the Venom franchise has been marked by his hands-on approach, earning him a story credit for both “The Last Dance” and the previous film, “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” (2021). His frequent collaborator, Kelly Marcel, takes the helm as director for this final chapter, set to hit theaters on October 25.

The Venom franchise has been a standout success for Sony, beginning with the surprise box office hit “Venom” (2018), which grossed $856.1 million globally. Hardy followed this success with “Let There Be Carnage,” which earned $506.8 million amid the pandemic and a general slowdown in superhero movie attendance.
“The Last Dance” faces the challenge of maintaining the franchise’s momentum in a market where big-budget superhero films have struggled. Despite this, Hardy’s Venom series has outperformed other Sony projects like “Morbius” (2022) and “Madame Web” (2023). Sony’s upcoming “Kraven the Hunter,” set to release on December 13, will follow closely behind “The Last Dance.”
Joining Hardy in “The Last Dance” are Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, adding star power to the film’s final chapter. As fans await the movie’s release, the question remains whether Venom can continue to defy odds and deliver another box office hit.
