Amazon Prime Video has officially renewed “The Boys” for a fifth season, following the announcement at their first-ever upfronts presentation. The news comes ahead of the highly anticipated Season 4 premiere, which will debut on June 13, 2024, with the first three episodes, followed by weekly releases, culminating in a finale on July 18.

“The Boys,” known for its raunchy and satirical take on the superhero genre, stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, and an ensemble cast. The show is executive produced by Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and others, including the original comic creators Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. The Emmy-winning series, which premiered in 2019, is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.

In addition to “The Boys,” the universe includes spinoffs like “Gen V,” the animated anthology “The Boys Presents: Diabolical,” and a Mexico-set offshoot in development.

Amazon MGM Studios’ head of television, Vernon Sanders, praised the show’s bold and captivating nature, while showrunner Eric Kripke expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue the story. Sony Pictures Television Studios president Katherine Pope echoed the excitement for the upcoming fifth season.
