Amazon Greenlights Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s “Tomb Raider” Adaptation

Amazon has officially given a series order to Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s adaptation of the iconic video game “Tomb Raider.” Announced at Amazon’s Upfront event by Head of Amazon & MGM Studios Jen Salke, the series is described as an “epic” and “globe-trotting” adventure. Waller-Bridge, the creator and star of “Fleabag,” expressed her excitement, highlighting her long-standing connection with the “Tomb Raider” franchise. While the cast remains undisclosed, the series will be executive produced by Waller-Bridge, Jenny Robbins, Dmitri M. Johnson, and Legendary Television, with Crystal Dynamics producing alongside Amazon MGM Studios.
