The upcoming MCU film “Fantastic Four” just got even more fantastic with the news that legendary actor John Malkovich has joined the cast! The Hollywood Reporter broke the story, revealing that Malkovich will be part of the superhero ensemble hitting theaters next year. While details about his specific role are shrouded in mystery (classic Marvel!), this casting adds even more excitement to a film already bursting with star power.
Malkovich is a powerhouse actor with a career spanning decades. He’s delivered iconic performances in films like “Of Mice and Men,” “Being John Malkovich,” “Space Force,” “Bird Box,” and many more. He even almost made his Marvel debut years ago in the scrapped “Spider-Man 4” project!

“Fantastic Four” is one of the most anticipated MCU entries. This marks the first time the beloved superhero family will get their own standalone film within the MCU. Marvel has assembled a stellar cast to bring them to life, including Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing), and Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm). Ozark’s Julia Garner is also confirmed as the Silver Surfer, with Paul Walter Hauser in another undisclosed role. And now, with John Malkovich joining the mix, “Fantastic Four” boasts a truly stacked cast. Plus, don’t forget the film is being directed by Matt Shakman, the visionary behind “WandaVision” and episodes of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
This is shaping up to be an epic Marvel film, and we can’t wait to see what Malkovich brings to the table! Stay tuned for more updates as we inch closer to the “Fantastic Four” release date.
