Netflix has announced that the highly anticipated third and final season of its fantasy drama, Sweet Tooth, will premiere on June 6. The announcement came alongside the release of an exciting first trailer, now available for viewing on the streaming platform.

In an exciting update for fans, the streamer revealed that actress Kelly Marie Tran is joining the cast as a series regular. Tran, known for her roles in the Star Wars saga and as the voice of the titular character in Raya and the Last Dragon, will play Rosie, a pivotal new character in the unfolding drama.

Season 3 picks up after the dramatic events at Pubba’s Cabin, with the central characters, led by Gus (played by Christian Convery) and Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), embarking on a perilous journey to Alaska. They seek Gus’s mother, Birdie (Amy Seimetz), who is deep into her research on the origins of the virus that has devastated humanity. Alongside old friends and new allies, the group faces fresh threats, including the menacing Wolf Boys and Helen Zhang (Rosalind Chao), who has dire plans for Gus.

The season promises a mix of adventure, suspense, and the heartfelt storytelling that has become a hallmark of the series. With the ensemble facing tests of loyalty and moral dilemmas, the final chapters are set to deliver a compelling conclusion to this post-apocalyptic saga.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television, Sweet Tooth is executive produced by Jim Mickle, Susan Downey, Robert Downey Jr., Amanda Burrell, and Linda Moran, with Evan Moore of Team Downey serving as co-executive producer.

Fans of the series based on Jeff Lemire’s DC comic book can look forward to a thrilling climax that explores the fate of both humanity and the intriguing hybrids.
