NetEase and Marvel Games have revealed their latest collaboration, “Marvel Rivals,” a 6v6 team-based shooter that brings together some of the most iconic characters from the Marvel Universe. Set to launch on PC, “Marvel Rivals” promises to offer fans a unique and immersive experience as they battle it out with their favorite heroes and villains.

“Marvel Rivals” boasts an impressive initial roster featuring beloved characters such as Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Groot, Hulk, Iron Man, Loki, Luna Snow, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Namor, Peni Parker, Rocket Raccoon, Scarlet Witch, Spider-Man, Storm, Star-Lord, and The Punisher. Players will have the chance to dive into ever-changing battlefields set in iconic locations like Asgard and 2099’s Tokyo, showcasing the game’s dynamic environment destruction system. This system isn’t just for show; players can use it to gain a tactical edge over their opponents.
Gameplay and Strategy
“Marvel Rivals” introduces Dynamic Hero Synergy, encouraging players to experiment with character combinations to unlock powerful abilities. For instance, Rocket Raccoon can enhance his powers by teaming up with Groot, while Hulk can supercharge Iron Man with Gamma energy for devastating attacks.





The game is designed to evolve, promising new content with each season, including characters, maps, and more. Each season will also expand on the “Marvel Rivals” storyline, penned by NetEase’s writing team.

The game’s narrative centers around Doctor Doom and his future self from the year 2099. Their conflict has triggered the Timestream Entanglement, causing universes to collide. Heroes and villains must now unite to prevent further chaos and save the multiverse.

“Marvel Rivals” marks NetEase’s third Marvel-themed game, following “Marvel Duel” and “Marvel Super War.” The company’s portfolio also includes other acclaimed titles like “EVE: Echoes,” “Naraka: Bladepoint,” and “Harry Potter: Magic Awakened.”
