DC Studios is reportedly taking a bold step into the prehistoric with the development of an animated movie based on the 2022 DC comic miniseries, “The Jurassic League.” This unique venture, as revealed by The InSneider, aims to bring a fresh and adventurous twist to the beloved universe of DC superheroes.
“The Jurassic League” is no ordinary superhero saga. Crafted by the creative minds of Daniel Warren Johnson and Juan Gedeon, this Elseworlds title transports the iconic heroes and villains of the DC universe back in time, reimagining them as anthropomorphic dinosaurs. The story unfolds in a prehistoric Earth, where a dino-version of the Justice League, including characters that mirror the legendary Trinity, band together to thwart the evil designs of a fearsome Darkseid.
Under the executive production of DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, and with a script penned by Brian Lynch, known for his work on “Minions” and “Secret Life of Pets,” expectations are soaring high.
