Nickelodeon is set to delight fans old and new with the announcement of a fresh iteration of the beloved animated series, “The Fairly OddParents.” The new series, titled “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,” has officially been ordered to series, promising a magical blend of nostalgia and new adventures.
Susanne Blakeslee and Daran Norris are making a much-anticipated return, lending their voices to the iconic fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo, respectively. Nickelodeon has commissioned 20 episodes for this new venture, which is scheduled to premiere on the cable channel this spring. Moreover, audiences around the globe will be pleased to find the series available on Netflix internationally later in the year.


Adding to the excitement, Ashleigh Crystal Hairston joins the cast as the voice of Hazel Wells, the new main character whose life is set to be turned upside down by her fairy godparents. “In ‘Fairly OddParents: A New Wish,’ ten-year-old Hazel Wells navigates the challenges of moving to the bustling city of Dimmadelphia. Feeling lonely and out of place after her brother Antony leaves for college, Hazel’s life takes an extraordinary turn when she discovers her new neighbors are none other than Cosmo and Wanda, ready to come out of retirement to grant her every wish,” the official series description reads.
The production team for “A New Wish” includes a blend of new and familiar faces. Co-executive producers David Stone, Lindsay Katai, Ashleigh Crystal Hairston, and Daniel Abramovici will work alongside Butch Hartman, the original creator of the series, and Fred Seibert, who also executive produced the original series. Claudia Spinelli, senior vice president of Animation for Big Kids at Nickelodeon, and Kelley Gardner, vice president of current series and animation, at Nickelodeon, oversee production, with Neil Wade serving as the executive in charge. Nickelodeon Animation will produce the series.
“The Fairly OddParents,” which originally aired for 10 seasons from 2001-2017, has been a cornerstone of Nickelodeon’s programming, spanning 172 episodes and inspiring three live-action films and a sequel series on Paramount+. “Fairly OddParents: A New Wish” is poised to capture the hearts of a new generation while paying homage to the enchanting world that fans have cherished for over two decades.
