ComicBook.com has revealed that Wilson Bethel will be returning to his role as Benjamin Poindexter, also known as the supervillain Bullseye, in the upcoming show Daredevil: Born Again. This announcement follows the recent news that Daredevil and its spinoffs are now officially part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) canon.

The Return of Bullseye

Bethel’s portrayal of Poindexter in Season 3 of Daredevil was critically acclaimed, adding depth and complexity to one of Daredevil’s most iconic adversaries. His return in Daredevil: Born Again raises intriguing questions about the role Bullseye will play in the new series and whether other actors from the original series will join the cast.

A Link to the Original Series

Initially, it seemed that the new show would explore alternate versions of Daredevil and Kingpin, played by Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, respectively. However, after a pause in production and a creative reset, the show is now being treated more as a direct continuation of the original Daredevil series.

Additional Casting Updates

Recent reports suggest that Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson may also return as Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, linking Born Again more closely to its predecessor. However, the role of Vanessa Fisk, previously played by Ayelet Zurer and announced to be portrayed by Sandrine Holt in Born Again, remains uncertain post-reset. Zurer has expressed her willingness to return, stating her support for D’Onofrio on Instagram.

What’s Next for Daredevil: Born Again?

The return of Bethel, along with the potential inclusion of other original cast members, adds to the anticipation surrounding Daredevil: Born Again. Fans eagerly await more news about the cast and the direction the series will take as it becomes an integral part of the MCU storyline.
