In an exciting development for gaming enthusiasts and Netflix subscribers, the streaming giant has made a significant move in the gaming world. Starting December 14, 2023, Netflix has added the classic “Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Trilogy” to its collection of mobile games, free of charge for its subscribers.

A Trio of Classics

This offer includes three iconic GTA games:

  • Grand Theft Auto III: Set in Liberty City, this game offers a vast open world with a gripping narrative.
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: A journey back to the 1980s, where players navigate through a neon-soaked cityscape.
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: Follow the story of Carl ‘CJ’ Johnson in a tale of betrayal, family, and survival in the early 90s.

Gaming on the Go

These games are available on the Netflix app, the App Store, and the Google Play Store, making them accessible for mobile gaming. Unfortunately, these titles are not available for console or PC gaming through Netflix, but they offer a perfect opportunity for casual gaming or revisiting the nostalgia of these classic titles.

A Growing Gaming Portfolio

Netflix’s addition of the GTA Trilogy to its catalog is part of its broader strategy to expand into the gaming industry. The streaming service already offers a catalog of over 80 mobile games, although it is reported that less than 1% of subscribers engage with these games daily.
