The talented Jennifer Jason Leigh is also on board this season.
What We Know So Far 📺
- Return Date: Fargo is making its comeback on Tuesday, November 21, at 10 p.m.
- Setting & Episode Count: This season is based in 2019, spanning Minnesota and North Dakota. Fans will get to binge on 10 episodes, a slight reduction from the 11 episodes in Season 4.

- Dorothy “Dot” Lyon, played by Juno Temple, finds her peaceful life as a Midwestern housewife interrupted by events that draw her back into a world she thought she’d left.
- Jon Hamm’s character, North Dakota Sheriff Roy Tillman, has been on the hunt for Dot. Viewing himself above the law, he’s accompanied by his underachieving son, Gator (Joe Keery) and shadowy drifter Ole Munch (Sam Spruell).
- As Dot’s secrets surface, she tries to protect her family. However, her husband Wayne, played by David Rysdahl, constantly turns to his mother Lorraine Lyon, the “Queen of Debt”, who is hardly a fan of her daughter-in-law.
- When Minnesota Police Deputy Indira Olmstead and North Dakota Deputy Witt Farr take interest in Dot’s activities, Lorraine decides to intervene with the assistance of her adviser, Danish Graves.
The theme of this season? Never underestimate a mother Lyon.
