“The Boy and the Heron” is an anticipated hand-drawn animated feature by Hayao Miyazaki. The English language voice cast was revealed on October 17, 2023. The cast includes:

The film was a hit in Japan when it opened on July 14, 2023. It made its international premiere as the opening night film at the Toronto International Film Festival and will be presented in IMAX at the TCL Chinese Theater on October 18 to open the Animation is Film Festival. GKIDS handles North American distribution for Studio Ghibli films and produces the annual Ghibli Fest.
