Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare Set to Ride onto PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch

Rockstar has revealed that Red Dead Redemption, along with its zombie-themed add-on Undead Nightmare, will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch starting August 17. The 2010 Western adventure will be ported to the new platforms by UK developer Double Eleven Studios, with PlayStation 5 backward compatibility supported. The port is described as a “conversion” rather than a remaster or remake, and includes additional language support. The game will be priced at $49.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop and PlayStation Store, with physical versions arriving on October 13. However, there’s no mention of PC or Xbox versions, leaving PC players disappointed. The game follows protagonist John Marston’s quest across the American west and Mexico to hunt down the remaining members of the Van der Linde Gang, and the Nintendo Switch and PS4 versions also include the Undead Nightmare expansion where Marston faces off against a zombie horde.
