The executive producers of Netflix’s The Witcher have teased a “meta” transition to Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt after Henry Cavill left the show.
The producers said that they are “excited” to have Hemsworth on board and that they have “big plans” for his version of Geralt. They also hinted that the transition between actors will be handled in a “meta” way, meaning that it will be acknowledged within the show itself.

This is not the first time that The Witcher has made changes to its cast. In season 2, Yennefer actress Anya Chalotra was recast with a different actress for a few scenes.
It remains to be seen how exactly The Witcher will handle the transition to Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt. However, the producers’ comments suggest that it will be a significant change for the show.
The producers also hinted that the transition to Hemsworth’s Geralt will be tied to the events of book 5, The Lady of the Lake. In the book, Ciri travels to a different world, where she meets a man who looks very similar to Geralt. It is possible that the show will use this as a way to introduce Hemsworth’s Geralt to the audience.
The producers have not confirmed any of these details, but they have said that they are “confident” that Hemsworth will “honor” Cavill’s performance as Geralt.
Fans of The Witcher are eagerly awaiting to see how the show will handle the transition to Liam Hemsworth’s Geralt. It is sure to be a significant change for the show, but it could also be a fresh start for the franchise.
