Kraven the Hunter is a film produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel. It explores the origins of the iconic Marvel villain, Kraven, before his well-known rivalry with Spider-Man. The story follows Sergei Kravinoff, who, after a near-death experience at a young age, acquires the instincts of a predator and develops a relentless thirst for the hunt.
Directed by J.C. Chandor, Kraven the Hunter features a screenplay by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Richard Wenk. The movie is produced by Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter. The cast includes Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinge, Alessandro Nivola, Christopher Abbott, and Russell Crowe.
Kraven the Hunter is set to release exclusively in theaters in October 2023.
