During the Summer Game Fest reveal for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, creative director Bryan Intihar confirmed that Eddie Brock will not be the one to bond with the symbiote in the upcoming sequel. This has led to much speculation about who will be the new Venom.
One popular theory is that Harry Osborn will become Venom. Harry was infected with the Goblin serum in the first game, and he has been shown to be struggling with his mental health in the sequel’s trailers. It’s possible that he will bond with the symbiote in an attempt to cure himself, only to become a new, more powerful villain.
Of course, it’s also possible that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will introduce a new character to Venom. There are many characters in the Marvel Universe who have bonded with the symbiote, so there are plenty of options for Insomniac Games to choose from.
No matter who becomes Venom, it’s clear that he will be a major threat to Peter Parker and Miles Morales in the sequel. The symbiote is a powerful force, and seeing how the two Spider-Men deal with it will be interesting.

- The Jackal: The Jackal is a scientist who specializes in cloning. He could create a new Venom by cloning Eddie Brock or another character.
