HBO has officially announced the renewal of “The Last of Us” for Season 2. The show’s debut was watched by 22 million viewers domestically and quickly became a hot topic on social media. Executive producer Neil Druckmann has confirmed that the second season will follow the “The Last of Us: Part 2” game, just as the show’s first season is based on the original “The Last of Us” game. The show has remained largely faithful to the original PlayStation game, but it has also introduced new elements to keep fans engaged. Episode 3 of Season 1 of “The Last of Us” will air on January 29th.
