More bans for CS:GO coaches for cheating during tournaments. 37 coaches are accused of using a bird’s eye view of the map, giving them insight into the other team’s location. This is a bug they’re exploiting and is not intentional. The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) investigated ESL and DreamHack tournaments over the last few months.

With the new massive number of offenders, the ESIC is implementing a new tier system that will clarify the length of punishments based on the number of offenses.

  • Tier 1 (8 or more offences): 36 months
  • Tier 1 (6 to 7 offences): 18 months
  • Tier 2 (3 to 5 offences): 10 months
  • Tier 3 (Less than 3 offences): 5 months

Those that admit to cheating and come forward on their own are seeing leniency.
