EA has announced that Madden will be upgraded to the next-gen version if you buy the game on a current system. This is similar to XBOX’s Smart Delivery Program that offers all first-party games from XBOX One on the Series X enhanced version for free. Players can feel free to buy Madden on launch day without being worried about purchasing the game again when they buy a new system. The one limit is you have to buy the digital game, they won’t upgrade physical copies. EA says they will continue this support through Madden 22.
