Adam Kiciński, President of CD Projeckt, announced that they will begin work on a new Witcher after the release of Cyberpunk 2077 in September. Kiciński emphasized that this new game would not simply be Witcher 4, but a completely new game in the Witcher world. This will begin development with a smaller team while the two primary teams work on “network mode” and Cyberpunk 2077 DLCs. No details on why the game won’t follow the previous numbering system. this could indicate a new form of gameplay. Possibly a Witcher MMO or mobile game.
