‘The Last of Us’ Series Coming to HBO

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO will be creating a The Last of Us series based of the critically acclaimed video game franchise. The creator behind HBO’s Chernobyl, Craig Mazin, will be writing and producing the new series. Mazin will be joined by Neil Druckmann who was the game’s writer and creative director. They are sticking close to the game’s team with producers from both Naughty Dog and Sony Pictures.

This is likely because Craig Mazin claims to be an avid player of the game and states  “Neil Druckmann is without question the finest storyteller working in the video game medium, and The Last of Us is his magnum opus…” 

This is exciting to see a network take a video game property so seriously. What other game would you want to see adapted?
